City Reviews & Questions

City Review
Key Words: Glendora Public Market, Citrus College, Kamden Coffee

Glendora lines up along the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains in eastern Los Angeles County, the foothill city between Azusa and San Dimas, with Covina and Charter Oak below it to the south. Route 66 and Arrow Highway cross it east to west, and each carries a different slice of the city's shopping. The age of the houses tracks the distance from the old downtown. Streets around the Village keep homes from the early 1900s, a few of them Victorian. Trailheads start at the top of residential streets on the north side, so a morning hike rarely needs more than a short drive. The South Hills give the other half of town its own dirt paths and viewpoints, and both ridges stay in sight from most of the flats. The Village along Glendora Avenue is the classic downtown, with small shops and cafes in older storefronts. Kamden Coffee on Route 66 is another local coffee option away from the downtown crowd. Citrus College fills a large west-side campus, and supermarkets are spread along Foothill Boulevard, Grand Avenue and Route 66. The 210 crosses the southern part of town, and the Metro A Line added a Glendora station in 2025 with trains toward Pasadena. The tradeoff is that shopping is scattered across the Village, Route 66, Arrow Highway and Foothill Boulevard instead of gathered in one place, so most errands start with a drive even for people living close to downtown. The mountains stay in view from almost everywhere, and on clear winter mornings snow sometimes shows on the higher peaks behind town.
