Most people drive straight through Alhambra Triangle without registering that the little wedge even has a name. It sits on the seam between Midtown and East Sacramento, hanging off the Alhambra Boulevard corridor, and the central-city grid stays walkable all the way through it. Housing runs to older bungalows and newer infill on compact lots, close enough that biking to downtown jobs is a real option rather than a talking point. The everyday draw is what sits within a short walk. The Safeway just west preserved the fountain from the old Alhambra Theatre, a nice piece of continuity in a corner that has otherwise been rebuilt around it, and Midtown's restaurants are an easy stroll in the same direction. The Sutter's Fort museum cluster sits nearby, giving the pocket a bit more gravity than its size suggests. The honest tradeoff is traffic. Alhambra Boulevard and the Highway 50 ramps keep the edges busy, so this is central-city living rather than a quiet cul-de-sac. What you get for tolerating the noise is a genuinely middle-of-everything address that lands well below what the Fab 40s a few blocks east command.
