Arden Manor is a quiet residential stretch of the Arden area, set among the mid-century subdivisions that run between Watt Avenue and the Arden corridor. The homes are mostly postwar ranch on comfortable lots, with mature landscaping that has had decades to fill in. Like much of Arden-Arcade, daily life is car-based: groceries, restaurants, and services sit along the nearby arterials rather than within the neighborhood, and the American River Parkway is a short drive south for trail access. The tradeoff is the usual one for this part of town, busy edges on the arterials and a layout that assumes you will drive. Inside, though, the streets stay calm, and the value proposition is a roomy, established home for less than the comparable Arden Park or Sierra Oaks streets a bit further east.
