Highway 50 anchors daily life, putting downtown to the west and Folsom to the east within an easy drive, and the everyday shopping sits along the nearby arterials and in the Rancho Cordova centers. It is calm and unflashy, with the appeal sitting in newer-feeling homes at an affordable eastern-suburb price. The honest tradeoff is distance from the central-city restaurants and walkability; this is firmly drive-everywhere territory at the edge of the city.
