Greenbriar sits at the far northern frontier of North Natomas, out past the established Natomas neighborhoods where the rooftops thin toward the airport and Metro Air Park. It is one of the city's newest planned communities, which shows in everything: contemporary single-family homes and townhomes on fresh streets, laid out with the parks, paths, and infrastructure a modern master plan builds in from day one. The location is organized around movement. Interstate 5 is close, downtown is a straight shot south, and the airport is only minutes off, which makes this one of the better-connected corners of the city for anyone who lives by the freeway and the terminal. What it does not have yet is time. The canopy is thin, so there is little mature shade to blunt the Natomas summer heat, the retail and amenities are still filling in around the newest phases, and the whole layout assumes a car. This is the trade of any brand-new edge neighborhood: you accept the raw, unfinished look and the drive to everything in exchange for a home where nothing has aged and the streets are as new as the plumbing.
