Lincoln Village is a residential neighborhood on Sacramento's far eastern edge, out near the Mather area along the old Lincoln Highway alignment where the city meets Rancho Cordova. The housing is largely postwar and later single-family on a settled suburban grid, with Lincoln Village Community Park within walking distance for many on the east side and the grocery and quick-service retail lined up along Bradshaw Road to the west. Highway 50 borders the area, so the downtown commute runs about twelve miles with easy freeway access, and Folsom is a quick drive the other direction. It is car-oriented and quiet, with the appeal sitting in affordable, established homes and a straightforward commute. The honest tradeoff is distance from the central-city restaurants and walkability. For buyers who want an attainable east-side house with a real community park, Lincoln Village fits.
