North City Farms is a modest residential pocket in southeast Sacramento, set near the Oak Park and Tahoe Park edges in the area off the Stockton Boulevard and Fruitridge corridors. The housing is largely older and postwar single-family on a compact grid, an affordable and low-key part of the central-east side. Daily errands run to the Stockton Boulevard corridor, with its deep food and market mix, and the light rail along the Highway 50 line and the UC Davis Medical Center are within reach. The honest notes are arterial traffic and upkeep that varies block to block, the familiar southeast pattern. The appeal is an attainable freestanding home in a genuinely central-east location, close to the med center jobs and the Stockton corridor services. It is one of the quieter, lesser-known pockets in this stretch of the city.
