South City Farms is a modest residential pocket in southeast Sacramento, set near the Fruitridge and Stockton Boulevard corridors in the area south of the Tahoe Park neighborhoods. The housing is largely older and postwar single-family on a compact grid, an affordable and low-key part of the central-east side. Daily errands run to the Stockton Boulevard corridor, with its deep food and market mix, and the light rail along the Highway 50 line and Highway 99 are within reach. The honest notes are arterial traffic and upkeep that varies block to block, the familiar southeast pattern. The appeal is an attainable freestanding home in a genuinely central-south location, close to the Stockton corridor services and a short drive from downtown. It is one of the quieter, lesser-known pockets in this stretch of the city, where the value is in the price.
