Tahoe Park East is the eastern extension of the Tahoe Park area in southeast Sacramento, sitting toward the 65th Street corridor and the light rail near the Highway 50 line. The housing is largely mid-century ranch and bungalow homes on tidy streets, sharing much of the stable, established character of Tahoe Park proper at a slightly more affordable price. It is close to Sacramento State, the 65th Street light rail and expressway, and the Folsom Boulevard and Stockton corridors, which makes it well connected for the southeast. It is reasonably walkable by city standards, with the Tahoe Park green space within reach. The tradeoffs are arterial traffic and the older-home friction common to the area. The appeal is a mid-century home with good connectivity and the Tahoe Park amenities nearby, at a moderate central-east price. It is a steady, under-the-radar pocket.
