Tahoe Park is a settled, well-liked neighborhood in southeast Sacramento, built around its namesake 17-acre park with ballfields, a playground, and recreation facilities. The housing is largely mid-century ranch and bungalow homes on tidy streets with established trees, the kind of stable, character-rich stock that has made Tahoe Park one of the more desirable affordable neighborhoods on the southeast side. It is close to Sacramento State across the parkway, the Stockton Boulevard corridor with its deep food scene, and the light rail along the Highway 50 line, with downtown a short drive. It is more walkable than the surrounding southeast pockets, with the park as a real community center. The tradeoffs are arterial traffic on the edges and the usual older-home friction. For buyers who want mid-century homes, a genuine neighborhood park, and central-east access at a moderate price, Tahoe Park is a standout.
