West Tahoe Park is a small central-east neighborhood west of the Tahoe Park area, bounded roughly by Broadway to the north, 14th Avenue to the south, Stockton Boulevard to the west, and 53rd Street to the east. The housing is largely mid-century and older homes on a compact grid, an established and reasonably affordable pocket close to several busier neighborhoods. Its calling card is the Stockton Boulevard corridor on its western edge, the heart of Sacramento's Little Saigon, with one of the deepest concentrations of Vietnamese restaurants and markets in the region, plus the UC Davis Medical Center nearby and the light rail on the Highway 50 line within reach. The tradeoffs are arterial traffic, especially along Stockton, and the older-home friction common to the area. The appeal is a vintage central-east home steps from the Stockton corridor food scene at a moderate price.
