College Park has carried that name since 1871, when the University of the Pacific built its campus on the site, and today Bellarmine College Prep occupies that ground and anchors the neighborhood. It is an older, central pocket between The Alameda and Highway 880, with clusters of early-1900s homes and a small Caltrain station of its own, though that station runs only a few trains a day, so treat it as a curiosity more than a commute plan. The Alameda's cafes and restaurants are close, the Rose Garden is a short distance east, and the Guadalupe River Park trails are nearby.
