Evergreen is a West Davis residential neighborhood organized around the Evergreen Greenbelt, the linear park-and-path that gives this side of town its car-free spine. It is calm, green, and built for the bike-first rhythm Davis is known for. Errands run to the nearby Westlake shopping center, and the commute toward campus follows the pleasant Russell Boulevard route. The homes are mostly mid-era single-family with apartment pockets, on flat, walkable streets that connect straight into the greenbelt system. The honest tradeoff is the same one that comes with all of West Davis: you are on the far residential edge, so downtown is a real ride rather than a stroll. What you get in exchange is quiet and a greenbelt at the end of the block.
