Neighborhood Reviews & Questions

Neighborhood Review
Key Words: Elevated Living, Panoramic Views, Outdoor Activities

Farm Hill in Redwood City is a respite from the hustle and bustle, offering a serene environment without sacrificing accessibility. It is situated on a series of rolling hills that provide some homes with stunning views of the San Francisco Bay, and has a bit of an elevated status, both literally and metaphorically. Homes in Farm Hill are primarily mid-century or newer. These homes usually come with generous lot sizes, offering plenty of space for yards, gardens, and even swimming pools. The variety in architecture—from ranch-style to modern—gives the area its unique character. In recent years, there has been a noticeable trend of home renovations and rebuilds, signaling both the neighborhood's increasing desirability and the investment homeowners are willing to make. Farm Hill doesn't skimp on green spaces. Stulsaft Park is a gem in the area, complete with hiking trails, a playground, and an off-leash dog park. Locals also have quick access to Canada College, which, apart from its educational offerings, has sports fields and open spaces where community events are often hosted. If that isn’t enough, Farm Hill is also home to the popular Peninsula Community Center, with gym, a pool, and tennis courts. One thing to note is that Farm Hill is a car-dependent neighborhood. The winding, hilly roads are beautiful but not the most pedestrian-friendly. Public transport options are limited, so owning a vehicle is almost a necessity here. Just a short drive away, you'll find grocery stores, cafes, and other essential services. To sum it up, Farm Hill offers a scenic lifestyle with the comforts of suburban living and plenty of outdoor space. It's ideal for those who appreciate room to breathe but still want to be within a stone's throw of city amenities.
