Green Meadows is the East Davis development north of Covell and east of Pole Line where the streets are named for painters, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Renoir, a little art-history quiz you can take from the driver's seat. It went up mostly in the late 1970s and has the settled, leafy character that era produced. The Green Meadows Greenbelt threads through and links to the wider East Davis path network, so kids and commuters move around off-street. Homes are solid single-family construction, and the location puts you between the Covell retail strip and the rest of East Davis. The honest note is the Covell and Pole Line edges, both busy arterials, so the interior streets are the quiet part and the perimeter is where the traffic lives. Inside, the artist streets stay calm.
