It is one of the smaller villages up here, bordered by Highland View, Marina Village, and a cluster of the community's original neighborhoods, and it shares their established, settled look rather than the raw newness of the southern expansions. The streets carry a mature canopy and the rolling terrain typical of this stretch, with everyday shopping and the lake marina reached by a short drive rather than a walk. Schools are a strength across this whole northern area, which is a large part of why people plant here. The tradeoff is that it leans on Green Valley Road for access, and that arterial gets busy at commute hours. This is not a neighborhood with its own marquee park or retail. The appeal is a quiet, green, well-kept position within easy reach of the lake and the rest of El Dorado Hills.
