Lake Alhambra Estates is the East Davis enclave built around a private lake near the Mace and Alhambra corridor, and it is one of the few Davis neighborhoods where the housing genuinely steps up in scale. The custom homes here date mostly to the late 1990s and early 2000s and run large, often 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, in Tudor, Spanish Revival, and other dressed-up styles. The lake is the organizing feature and the reason the streets feel set apart from the rest of East Davis. Presentation is a clear priority here: deep landscaping, big lots, and homes that are kept up. Two honest notes. This is the high end of the Davis market, with prices to match, and the lake is a community feature rather than a public park, so the water is the neighborhood's, not the city's.
