Mace Ranch Estates is the step-up enclave inside the larger Mace Ranch story, the part of East Davis where the lots widen and the homes get bigger and more individualized than the standard tract around them. It shares Mace Ranch's planned bones but at a more upscale scale. The day-to-day perks are Mace Ranch's: the greenbelt and bike paths, Mace Ranch Park, and Second Street Crossing retail within easy reach, plus the East Davis schools. The difference you feel here is in the streetscape, more landscaping, more square footage, more polish. The tradeoffs are the same as the parent neighborhood, a car-oriented layout and distance from downtown, just at a higher price point. This is where Mace Ranch buyers go when they want more house.
