Key Words:

Park-centered living, Mid-century ranch loops, Quick freeway reach

Paseo is a slim, wedge-shaped pocket framed by Saratoga Avenue on the west and Quito Road on the east, tapering north toward Lawrence Expressway. Three parallel “Paseo” lanes—Cerro, Flores, and Tierra—crawl uphill from the tip, feeding small loops such as Noble and Santa Park Court. One-story and split-level ranches from the early 1960s dominate, most with wide eaves, brick accents, and fresh drought-tolerant landscaping. Lots are flat but generous for the area, and mature liquidambar and elm trees cast plenty of shade along the curbless streets. El Quito Park, a ten-acre green with two playgrounds, basketball hoops, and evening dog-walker circuits, sits inside the western bend, giving residents an easy backyard escape. A tiny strip at Cox Avenue and Saratoga Avenue holds a Starbucks and convenience market, while Westgate West’s larger grocery lineup is a three-minute hop over Lawrence. Prince of Peace Lutheran’s preschool and Challenger School share the southern block, and Saratoga’s public schools—Argonaut Elementary and Redwood Middle—are a short bike ride but lie outside the boundary. Highway 85’s on-ramp brushes the southern tip, trading swift commutes for a low hum of traffic on Devon Avenue’s backyards. Daily life here feels calm and neighborly. Cul-de-sac cookouts, kids riding scooters to the park, and evening walkers looping the Paseos are the norm. Buyers tend to like the larger parcels, solid mid-century construction, and quick reach to both downtown Saratoga and Cupertino’s retail strip, though some may wish for sidewalks and a true neighborhood café inside the tract.
