The homes are well-kept single-family stock on regular Davis lots. Living here means leaning on the South Davis amenity strip for groceries and the close I-80 ramps for commuting, with greenbelt links toward the Putah Creek corridor and other South Davis parks. It is quiet and orderly. The honest tradeoff is that South Davis can feel a touch removed from the downtown-and-campus center of gravity, separated by the freeway. What you get for that is a calmer, greener everyday footprint.
