That gives it good, quick access up toward downtown and out to the freeways, at a price point well below the leafier neighborhoods. It is honest to say this is a utilitarian pocket rather than a scenic one: the corridor edges are workmanlike, the housing is modest, and the public realm is thin, though Kelley Park and its greenery sit a short way north. For a buyer whose priority is an affordable San Jose address with straight-shot routes in every direction, this corridor delivers that and not much pretense. It is a place to live in, not a place to tour.
