It shares Wrigley's appealing bones: modest Spanish Revival and Period Revival homes and bungalows from the 1920s and 1930s on flat, walkable streets, with the Pacific Avenue corridor providing markets, restaurants, and local businesses. The location is genuinely central, close to downtown, the 710, and the Los Angeles River bike path along the western edge. It is one of the more affordable older neighborhoods near the city center, with an engaged community and the block-to-block upkeep variation typical of central Long Beach.
