Stonegate is the West Davis neighborhood built around Stonegate Lake and the Stonegate Country Club, the closest thing this side of town has to a resort-style setup. The maritime street names and the lake give it a distinct identity, and the country club, with its pools, tennis, and clubhouse, anchors the community. Day to day it is quiet and well-kept, with the Westlake shopping center handling groceries, a dog park nearby, and greenbelt paths connecting through. The homes are solid mid-era single-family, and the lakeside and open-space edges give parts of the neighborhood a green outlook. Two honest notes. The lake and club amenities are private to members and the HOA, not public park space, and like the rest of West Davis, Stonegate is on the far residential edge, so downtown is a ride rather than a walk.
