Sycamore Lane is less a single subdivision than the residential corridor along the street of the same name, straddling the North and Central Davis line near Sycamore Park. It is a busier, more mixed stretch than the tucked-away tracts, with single-family homes giving way to apartment clusters as you move toward campus. The location is its strength. You are close to the Marketplace and Anderson Plaza shopping, a short flat ride to UC Davis, and within reach of the bike tunnels that sneak under the tracks, a very Davis kind of shortcut. Sycamore Park adds green to the corridor. The honest tradeoff is that Sycamore Lane itself is a working arterial with real traffic and a heavier rental presence than the quiet interior neighborhoods. You are buying access and convenience more than seclusion.
