A 2025 proposal would clear most of the mall for roughly 700 apartments and new commercial space, the latest in a long run of plans floated and stalled at City Hall. Whatever finally gets built will reshape this corner of town. Entry prices run about the lowest in Antioch. The trade is straightforward: convenience and value in exchange for density, corridor traffic, and streets that work harder than they charm. For a first purchase on a thin down payment, this is usually where the spreadsheet points.
