The Hedding and Alameda area sits in central San Jose along The Alameda corridor, a walkable older pocket of bungalows, apartments, and mixed housing close to the Rose Garden and downtown. It is a central, transitional neighborhood where the value comes from location and the older character of the streets. The position does the work. The Alameda's taquerias, cafes, and shops are right there, SAP Center, Diridon Station, and the transit network are close, and the gridded streets keep errands and transit accessible. Upkeep varies block to block, lots are modest, and the corridor carries traffic and noise. For buyers who want a central, transit-friendly foothold near The Alameda and downtown at a relative value, it is a sensible, well-connected option.
