The Longview Road area threads through the middle of Antioch, an established neighborhood of ranch homes from the city's 1970s and 80s growth rings. Lots are usable, the terrain rolls gently, and Contra Loma Regional Park sits just to the southwest, 775 acres of reservoir, trails, and fishing that work as the neighborhood's backyard escape. Marsh and Sutter elementaries serve the area, with Park Middle and Antioch High up the line. Shopping means a short drive toward Somersville Road or Lone Tree Way rather than anything walkable, and Highway 4 is a few minutes out. This is a street-by-street part of town. Some blocks are tidy and long-settled, others show their years, and the difference can be a single turn apart. The houses offer honest square footage for the money, which keeps the showings steady. Walk the specific block at a couple of different hours; that one habit will tell you more about this neighborhood than any listing photo can.
