Tucked into the foothills at the southern edge of San Jose, Almaden Springs is a serene residential pocket of quiet streets, large lots, and immediate access to some of the South Bay's best outdoor recreation. It sits just south of Cathedral Park and west of Almaden Expressway, right in the heart of Almaden Valley but a notch more tucked away than its surroundings. Housing is predominantly single-family, much of it on generous lots with well-kept landscaping and a mix of traditional and contemporary California styles. Winding streets and cul-de-sacs keep through-traffic to a minimum, and curb appeal is a genuine strength: clean, tidy blocks with mature trees and cared-for yards throughout. The headline feature is the trail access. Almaden Quicksilver County Park, with its huge network of hiking and biking trails and old mining landmarks, is essentially at the doorstep, and Cathedral Park adds playgrounds and lawn just to the north. Shopping sits a short drive up Almaden Expressway, so the area feels removed without being inconvenient. Schools in the valley are well regarded, and the result is a peaceful, established enclave framed by rolling hills.
