Bushrod fills a flat rectangle of North Oakland between Telegraph and Adeline, its northern edge nudging the Berkeley line. Flat terrain and low-speed side streets make it simple to push a stroller or bike to Rockridge or Ashby BART in under ten minutes. The vibe is casual and eclectic, drought-tolerant beds next to backyard veggie plots, brightly painted Victorians beside cottages waiting on a refresh. It is one of the more practical ways to get central, flat, bike-friendly North Oakland without the hillside price tag, and the park in the middle is what regulars would tell you to buy for.
