Cascade Canyon is one of Mill Valley’s most picturesque and nature-immersed neighborhoods. Named for the scenic Cascade Falls tucked into its trails, this area blends rustic charm with an upscale mountain-town feel. Homes here range from vintage cabins and shingled cottages to larger custom residences, often built into the hillside and surrounded by towering redwoods. Many properties offer views of the forest canopy, and it’s not uncommon to hear a creek running or spot deer wandering nearby. The neighborhood is a dream for outdoor lovers. Cascade Falls Trail, Tenderfoot Trail, and a number of hidden paths are just outside most doorsteps. Residents live with easy access to nature but are still just a short drive or bike ride to Downtown Mill Valley. There’s a deep sense of privacy and community here, with residents valuing the peaceful setting. Some of the roads are narrow and steep, which can make access challenging, especially in rainy weather, but that’s part of the secluded charm.
