East Peralta wedges between International Boulevard and the Nimitz Freeway from about 5th to 14th Avenues. Traffic under the freeway invites occasional encampments and litter, and on-street parking tightens near businesses. The feel is urban and rough-edged but improving. Cyclists cruise to the Bay Trail before dawn, lunch crowds queue for banh mi, and warehouse murals hint at an emerging arts scene amid forklifts and tire stacks. Buyers eye the central location, ferry-ready waterfront, and upside of ongoing development, yet should weigh industrial noise, patchy sidewalks, and block-by-block upkeep.
