Glen Cove is Vallejo's quiet peninsula at the southern end of the city, wrapped along the Carquinez Strait. The neighborhood essentially has one way in and one way out, which keeps through traffic away and gives it a tucked-away, almost suburban feel the rest of Vallejo does not have. The big draw is right at the edge: Glen Cove Waterfront Park and the Bay Area Ridge Trail, with strait views, walking paths, and quick access to the water. Homes here skew newer and better kept than much of the city, and prices reflect it. Glen Cove Elementary sits inside the neighborhood, which matters to a lot of the people who land here. The real tradeoff is errands. There is very little you can walk to for groceries or coffee, so almost everything requires driving back out toward the main corridors. You are buying the trails, the water, and the quiet, and accepting the car trips that come with the peninsula geography.
