Grace Patterson Elementary serves the area, and the surrounding blocks are older and modest, with the freeway proximity the name promises. The upside is access. You are close to Highway 37, the Sonoma Boulevard corridor, and the routes out toward Marin and the rest of the city, so getting in and out is easy. The downside is the flip side of the same coin: this is one of the lower-key, harder-worn corners of Vallejo, the traffic and arterial noise are part of daily life, and upkeep runs rough in spots. It is a practical, no-frills location for people who prioritize a quick on-ramp over a quiet street.
