Laguna is the neighborhood that gave this whole side of Elk Grove its name. It built out as the city's first big master-planned wave, and the streets between Laguna Park Drive and Soaring Oaks Drive carry the settled, greenbelt-laced feel of a community that has had a couple of decades to mature. The everyday strengths are walkable greenbelt paths, established parks, and schools woven right into the residential fabric, with the Laguna Boulevard corridor handling shopping just to the north. It is the kind of place where the trees actually shade the sidewalks and the parks fill up on a Saturday. The honest note is that Laguna is firmly residential and firmly suburban, so anyone after nightlife or a true town center will be driving to reach it. Set against the newer Laguna Ridge to the south, this is the older, leafier, more lived-in version, and for a lot of buyers that maturity is precisely the point.
