Liberty is one of the newest corners of Rio Vista, a master-planned area of single-story homes with a ranch-style center of its own. The area is still taking shape, so some streets read as finished and others as a work in progress. Two builders are visible. DeNova's Luminescence at Liberty pairs single-story homes of about 1,300 to 1,570 square feet with two-bedroom duets, all with two-car garages. LGI Homes' Summit at Liberty adds more single-story new construction with open floor plans. Because everything is recent, there is little of the mixed-age quality you find downtown. The shared spaces are the real draw inside Luminescence. A central Great Lawn ties its walking paths to the Ranch House, which holds Liberty House Café, and an Events Barn adds an art studio and a business lounge. The grounds also hold a fitness center, a pool, eight bocce courts, two tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a labyrinth, walking trails and a dog park. Eating out and everyday shopping happen elsewhere in Rio Vista. The Trilogy golf course is about a third of a mile from the boundary, and its Monarch Grill is a sit-down option for lunch and dinner. Main Street's Lucy's Cafe and Foster's Bighorn are a short drive away, with Lira's Supermarkets in town for groceries. Highway 12 is the way to Fairfield and Lodi, each around twenty minutes away. The main tradeoff is that the neighborhood sits apart from the town center, so most trips begin with the car keys, whether the errand is a loaf of bread or a library book. The calm here comes from planned lawns and fresh landscaping more than from any storefront, and a visitor would find far more to do inside the gates of the amenity center than on the streets outside.
