Oak Grove sits on Concord's south side near the road that shares its name, where the city edges toward Walnut Creek and the land starts to lift toward Lime Ridge. It's a residential neighborhood that has quietly become one of the pricier non-hilltop addresses in this part of town. The homes are comfortable single-family stock on settled streets, and part of the draw is the school reach, which includes well-regarded Bancroft Elementary over the Walnut Creek line. Shopping leans on the nearby Oak Grove Road and Treat Boulevard corridors, and the southern reach of Lime Ridge Open Space gives the area real trail access. The honest note is that the safety picture is more mixed than the price suggests, and you'll want to walk specific blocks rather than assume the whole neighborhood reads the same. But for buyers who want a south-Concord location with Walnut Creek school proximity and hills nearby, Oak Grove keeps showing up on the short list for a reason.
