Rimer is a residential neighborhood on the south side of Moraga, set into the hillside streets around Rimer Drive. It is one of the calmer, lower-traffic corners of town, the kind of place that is mostly houses and not much else. The housing is standard Moraga single-family stock, and the setting is green and quiet, with the rolling open space that defines this end of the valley close by. Camino Pablo Elementary anchors the school side, and the older kids feed the same well-regarded Moraga and Campolindo schools as the rest of town. The catch is that being tucked into the south end means everything is a drive: the Rheem and Moraga shopping centers, and especially the over-the-hill commute to the freeway. Buyers who want a quiet Moraga house away from the busier central streets, and do not mind driving for the rest, tend to find Rimer a comfortable fit.
