Roosevelt is one of the older neighborhoods in Redwood City, and that history is palpable. You'll find homes built in the early to mid-20th century, lending the area an established, nostalgic atmosphere. That being said, as popularity has increased, some older homes are being replaced with new-builds or modern transformations. Red Morton Park is a focal point of the community. It offers various amenities like a playground, tennis courts, and massive open fields of artificial turf. With its updated state, it is arguably one of the best parks in Redwood City. Many residents on the Western edge of Roosevelt can take a quick stroll over to the more natural beauty that is Stulsaft Park. The northern edge of Roosevelt houses the popular enclave of Mount Carmel, with its tree lined streets and tight-knit community. One of the stand-out features of Roosevelt is its elementary school, which bears the same name as the neighborhood. It has a strong sense of community involvement, making it a favorable option for families with young children. Unlike some of the more uniformly high-priced areas of Redwood City, Roosevelt offers a wider range of home prices. This can make the neighborhood accessible for various income levels, although the demand remains consistently high.
