Verdera, Lincoln, CA

Verdera is a gated, golf-centered community in Lincoln, California, set in rolling oak country on the Rocklin side of the city. It shares the Twelve Bridges planning area with its neighbor Twelve Bridges, but the feel is quieter and more private. The main landmark is Catta Verdera Country Club, a private club with a Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse and an 18-hole championship course. The club is also known as a wedding venue. Verdera homes sit along fairways and in village pockets, with stucco and tile roofs in the same family as the clubhouse. A few homes overlook the course. For parks, the closest are outside the boundary. Coyote Pond Park is in Twelve Bridges, and Boulder Ridge Park and Pleasant Valley Creek Park are across the line in Rocklin. Many people here take their walks along the quiet streets or play the course. Whitney Oaks in Rocklin is the nearest established neighborhood across the line. The only dining inside the community is the club's own Stable's Grill, which is a members' facility. Everything else is a drive. On Twelve Bridges Drive, Leatherby's Family Creamery is the local ice cream stop and Omakase Por Favor takes reservations for dinner, and Starbucks is nearby for coffee. Groceries and errands are in Twelve Bridges, along Sterling Parkway and in Rocklin, each a few minutes by car. The Lincoln Public Library on Twelve Bridges Drive is the closest civic stop. Highway 65 gets you to Roseville and Sacramento. There is no transit service worth building a routine around, and the whole area is designed around driving. No shop, cafe or market is within walking distance, so every errand starts with the car keys. What the community gives back is quiet. Fairways and oak hills fill most of the view, and the roads stay calm.
