Neighborhood Reviews & Questions

Neighborhood Review
Key Words: Quiet Streets, Marine Stadium, Park Adjacent

Belmont Park is a small, quiet residential pocket on the eastern side of Long Beach, set between Belmont Heights, the Marine Stadium waterway, and the green sweep of Recreation Park. It is easy to overlook on a map and a pleasant place to live: tidy single-family streets, mature plantings, and a location that puts the golf course, the rowing basin at Marine Stadium, and the Colorado Lagoon all within reach. Second Street and the beach at Belmont Shore are a short drive or a long, pleasant walk to the south. There is no commercial strip inside the neighborhood, so it is residential through and through, and the bordering arterials carry the traffic the interior streets are spared. The appeal is the combination of calm blocks and an outdoors-rich setting, with the park and the bay doing the heavy lifting.
