Covell Park takes its name from the North Davis park at its center, the one with the climbing structures and a stand of tall maples that actually throw shade in a Valley summer. The neighborhood is residential and established, the kind of North Davis block where the park does a lot of the social work. It is an easy place to live without a car for the small stuff. The North Davis greenbelt connects through, the Marketplace and Anderson Plaza handle groceries and takeout, and schools sit within the neighborhood's orbit. Homes are mostly older single-family construction on regular lots. Like most of North Davis, the boundary with Covell Boulevard is the friction point, busy and not especially pretty, so the interior streets are where the appeal lives. The park is the reason to be here.
