Eagle Ridge is Gilroy's marquee address, a gated, master-planned community spread across the rolling hills southwest of Santa Teresa Boulevard and wrapped around the Eagle Ridge Golf Club at its center. The Mediterranean-style homes date to the early 2000s and sit on generous lots along the fairways, with a clubhouse, pool, and tennis behind the gate and a guard out front. This is the most car-dependent neighborhood on the list, and that's the deal you're signing up for. There's no corner store and nothing walkable. What you get instead is space, quiet, golf-course views, and a level of security and polish the rest of the city can't match. Prices run well above the Gilroy norm, and the homes show it. The honest tradeoff is isolation. You'll drive for groceries, for downtown, for almost everything. For anyone who wants a resort-style setting and doesn't mind the haul to the rest of town, Eagle Ridge is the clear top of the market here.
