El Sobrante Hills is the kind of neighborhood that makes you forget you are still technically in Richmond. Tucked into the rolling hills on the city's eastern flank, it is a leafy, low-density pocket of custom homes that range from red-tiled Mediterraneans to mid-century ranches and the occasional Craftsman, most of them sitting on generous lots with real space between neighbors.
