Glenridge is one of the west shore's smallest neighborhoods, about sixty homes tucked between Tahoma and the Meeks and Rubicon Bay pockets, and it is honest to say the public record on it is thin. It reads as a small mid-century subdivision that functions as part of the greater Tahoma area, sharing that community's mailing identity and its rhythms. What it does have going for it is position. Sugar Pine Point State Park lies just to the north, so the trails, the General Creek corridor, and the historic Ehrman Mansion are close at hand, and the lake is minutes away. The housing is the west shore's usual mix of cabins and modest mountain homes on wooded lots. The tradeoffs are Tahoma's tradeoffs. Highway 89 is the single two-lane artery, prone to summer congestion and winter closures to the south, snow load is heavy, wildfire exposure is real, and services are a drive up or down the shore.
