New Pacific is one of the newer and more polished neighborhoods in Hercules, built in the early 2000s on the north side of the city on land that was once industrial refinery property. The reinvention took, and today it reads as a well-maintained, higher-priced enclave with a tidy, planned streetscape. The character is its biggest asset. This is newer construction with consistent upkeep, set toward the northern bay edge of town away from the busiest corridors. You are positioned for the I-80 commute and the future Bayfront transit improvements, and the homes here command some of the stronger prices in Hercules, which tells you how the market reads the address. The standard Hercules tradeoff holds: this is a residential, drive-for-errands neighborhood rather than a walk-to-cafes one. What you are buying is the newer, cared-for product and the quieter north-end setting, and in a city of older tracts, that combination is genuinely scarce.
