North Edison is a small mid-century residential pocket in the Arden area, set near the Edison Avenue and Watt corridors on the east side of the county. The housing is largely single-story ranch on regular lots, the steady postwar stock that fills much of Arden-Arcade, on quiet interior streets without a commercial center of their own. Everyday errands run to the retail along Watt Avenue and the surrounding arterials, and the Watt/I-80 transit and freeway access are close for commuting, with the American River Parkway a reasonable drive south. There is little inside the boundary beyond houses and calm streets. The appeal is value and a central-east location: an established, low-key home at a moderate price, for buyers who do not mind driving a few minutes for shopping and services. It is one of many unassuming Arden pockets where the quiet street is the draw.
