Del Oro High School's campus and stadium sit inside the neighborhood off Taylor Road, with Loomis Grammar School at the southwest corner, making this one of the rare spots in Placer County where a listing can say walk to school and mean it. The streets, Sherwood Court, Shelter Cove Drive, Sun Knoll Drive and Las Flores Road among them, fill in with late-1990s homes on lots around a third of an acre, generous by suburban standards and modest by Loomis ones, where five-acre horse setups are the usual flex. King Road runs the southern edge, and downtown's Taylor Road strip, home of the Blue Goose fruit shed from the town's fruit-shipping heyday, is a short hop past the Grammar School. The honest catch: Interstate 80 clips the southeast corner, so the easternmost lots live with a freeway soundtrack, and Taylor Road stacks up twice a day on the school run. Loomis Basin Community Park waits just across the freeway on King Road.
