The Sierra Tract is South Lake Tahoe's densest cabin grid, a tight lattice of small lots a few minutes from the Y. It has long been the city's entry ticket: the place where first purchases, starter rentals, and full-time working households concentrate. The stock is classic small Tahoe, and the good ones, redone with care, punch above their size. Streets are flat and the location is quietly excellent for errands. Density is the tradeoff. Neighbors are close, parking gets tight in big winters, and the snow berms have nowhere to go. Melt season tests the drainage. None of that has ever kept the Tract from being the first neighborhood people can actually afford.
