Sky View earns its name from its position, an elevated pocket on Vallejo's northeastern side, up in the hills where the streets sit higher and some lots catch long views across the city and toward the hills beyond. Joseph Wardlaw Elementary serves the area, with Jesse M. Bethel High as the assigned high school, and the housing leans toward the newer, higher-priced end for Vallejo. This is one of the calmer, more residential corners of the city, where the appeal is elevation, quiet, and a step up in upkeep from the older flatlands. The tradeoff is familiar for the eastern hills: it is a drive down to anything you need, since there is little in the way of walkable shops or services up here. Sky View is a quiet, view-oriented place that asks you to trade convenience for a higher, calmer perch.
