Summerset is a west-side Livermore neighborhood off Murrieta Boulevard, built between roughly 1965 and 1973. The homes are midcentury in scale, 1,000 to 2,000 square feet on flat 6,000-to-8,000 square-foot lots with two-car garages, and the standout trait locals point to is upkeep: this is a pride-of-ownership tract where the original homes have been carefully maintained and updated over the decades. The west-Livermore location keeps Murrieta Boulevard's shopping and the cross-town routes close, and the streets themselves stay quiet and residential. It is an established, settled pocket rather than a new or flashy one, with mature landscaping that comes from fifty-plus years of tending. You will still drive for the bulk of errands, and the homes are right-sized rather than large, so this is not the neighborhood for buyers chasing square footage. But for a well-kept midcentury home on a usable lot in a stable, convenient part of town, Summerset is a dependable west-side choice.
